NEW STUDENTS

New students coming to Stevens have a lot to do, and require a lot of information. The International Student and Scholar Services office is sensitive to the fact that students coming to the U.S. for the first time may experience emotional and physical discomfort as they adjust to the new demands of living and studying in this country. We try to offer as much support as possible and assist them in this process. Stevens has many ethnic student organizations, both at the undergraduate and graduate level, that are very active on campus. Often these organizations are able to provide the initial community support to the new student. The links below will hopefully answer most of your questions. Please email AdaNelly Joyner if you have questions that didn't get answered. Thank You.

Applying For Admissions
- Undergraduate Admissions
- Graduate Admissions

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate you on your acceptance to Stevens Institute of Technology. USCIS requires a financial verification form, attested by a notary public prior to issuing your visa documentation.

The documents can either be submitted via fax to 201-216-8044 or scanned copies can be emailed to gradadmissions@stevens.edu. Original copies may be submitted via post in the near-future. For your convenience, there is an attachment below of the latest financial verification form that you could use. When you submit these documents, please mention your full name and Stevens student ID on a cover letter or on the first page of the requested documents. This will help graduate admissions locate your file quickly.

For further information regarding this requirement, please feel free to contact the office of graduate admissions which may be contacted via e-mail at gradadmissions@stevens.edu or via telephone at 800-496-4935. Please do not hesitate in contacting isss@stevens.edu, if we may be of any further assistance.

Transfer Process
The first step to transferring to Stevens is to apply, and be accepted. Once you are accepted, you need the document listed below.

  1. Transfer Form signed by your current international advisor. The form can be downloaded from the forms page of our website www.stevens.edu/iss. In addition, you will need to ask your international advisor to release your records to us in SEVIS.

  2. If you are on Optional Practical Training, please be advised that issuance of a new I-20 for a new degree program will terminate the OPT, so you will want to wait until your OPT is completed before doing the school transfer.
